Liverpool Chester Liverpool Bike Ride

My Story

I'm taking on the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool bike ride in aid of North West Cancer Research.

I was keen to sort a ride out with a friend from work, having never ridden together before. The route really appealed to us and the novelty of cycling through the Mersey Tunnel, although I’ve heard it’s steep!

Between my friend and I, we agreed on raising funds for a cancer charity as it’s a disease that has affected us all in some way. Shortly after signing up I actually got news that my sister, Heidi, had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

I think it’s important to support a charity that is working hard to improve the future of cancer outcomes and treatment. The coincidence with my sister’s diagnosis just makes me even more driven to raise what I can.
