My Story

For a while now, myself, Bob and Sam have been wondering just how far might be far enough. So in the next instalment of “doing good things whilst we have good legs” we’ll be cycling from Glasgow to Lancaster, 170 miles in one day.

Setting off from Glasgow around 4am on Wednesday 16th August we’ll be aiming to get back to Lancaster for…just to get back to Lancaster.

For me, I need a focus and reason so we’ve collectively decided to try and raise a bit of money for North West Cancer Research. A charity we work closely with and a topic that sits closer to my heart than I would like in recent times.

I’ll also be donating my ride and health data to Lancaster University’s Sports and Exercise Science Department so they can examine the effect of ultra endurance activity on slightly overweight average cyclists.
